The Barn Sale Committee is proud to announce that their weekend tag sale earned close to $50,000 in support of the Northshire United Counseling Service (UCS). The Barn Sale is a yearly tag sale held each fall with proceeds supporting United Counseling Service. This is the 2nd year that the sale has been held at Riley Rink and anticipation for the “Best Tag Sale in Vermont” began weeks before the event with a group of volunteers working hard to collect, transport and set up the sale which was held Saturday, September 17 and Sunday September 18.
Proceeds from the event support programming at the Northshire UCS office, and in particular help people who do not have the financial resources to get help. The Northshire programs include substance abuse recovery, outpatient mental health counseling, youth & family services, and psychiatry, among others. United Counseling Service’s goal is to help people improve their quality of life through a comprehensive behavioral and developmental system of care including education, prevention, early intervention, support and treatment of children, adults, and families in our community.
