Description: Under the direction of the Associate Director, the Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the Center and support of the classroom. The Site Coordinator ensures smooth functions of the program, interacting with children, families, and staff, creates and maintains staff scheduling ensuring classroom ratios are met. Ensures meeting all applicable state and federal regulations, high quality programming, and developmentally appropriate practice.
Qualifications include Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with experience teaching pre-school children. Meets Child Development Division Teacher and Site Director qualifications. Vermont AOE Licensure with Early Childhood Endorsement preferred. Valid, clean driver’s license required.
Position: FAMILY OUTREACH CLINICIAN

Description: UCS seeks two Master’s Level Clinicians to be based in our Bennington office. The Family Outreach Clinicians will provide community based mental health services to children of all ages and their families. The scope of the clinical work includes assessments, consultation, clinical interventions, counseling, groups, and other related services. Case management, which includes service coordination, is also provided. MA’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required. Description: UCS is seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join a dynamic and cohesive Human Resources team. The HR Specialist is responsible for executing key HR strategies. This position will primarily focus on matters pertaining to enhancing staff retention and engagement including training and development, benefits oversight/troubleshooting, employee relations, performance management, special projects such as EEO, ACA and other reporting, HRIS oversight, while also sharing responsibilities in the following functional areas; employee orientation and on-boarding, day-to-day records management, and employment law compliance. This individual represents HR on various agency committees. In addition, the incumbent will also participate in and provide activities that promote integrity, quality and compliance with applicable Vermont state and federal laws.

Position: ELDER CARE CLINICIAN
Availability: Part Time, 30 hrs., M-F,
Description: The Elder Care Clinician is an integral part of the Outpatient department. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, the Elder Care Clinician provides mental health and counseling services to elderly individuals in the community, bridging the services of UCS and the Council on Aging. The Elder Care Clinician shall employ evidence-based practices as they screen, assess, and evaluate incoming referrals. They may make referrals, coordinate, and bridge services to other community resources. Knowledge and experience in working with mental health needs of the elderly a plus.
Qualifications include: Minimum Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related human services field. knowledge and experience in working with mental health and substance use needs of elders required.
Position: BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS COORDINATOR/COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Description: The Big Brothers Big Sisters Coordinator is responsible for managing program activities, including volunteer recruitment, youth recruitment and fund development. Responsibilities also include managing the annual “Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser. The Community Support work would include performing a variety of activities with youth related to skill building; working toward social inclusion within the community. This position would require working closely with the clinicians and other treatment team members to establish and track individualized goals for each child thoroughly either one on one, and/or group facilitation. Computer skills are necessary to track progress and keep accurate documentation.

Position: YOUTH TRANSITIONAL SERVICES PROGRAM MANAGER

Description: Under the direction of the Youth and Family Services Director, the Youth Transitional Services Program Manager is responsible for helping individuals obtain and maintain employment and transition to adulthood. This position supervises other Supported Employment Counselors, Transitional Living and Youth Outreach staff in performing their duties, arranges for staff training, writes monthly reports on program activities,and represents the program in the community. As a direct service provider this individual assists clients in defining job goals, learning job tasks, and problem solving barriers to employment. The Program Manager will serve as liaison between clients and work site when necessary; assessing, advocating and monitoring employment; facilitates community integration and assists individuals in the development of other life skills related to independent adult living.
Qualifications include High School or equivalent with 5 years experience providing services to children. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
Position: MAINTENANCE WORKER II

Description: UCS seeks someone to fill the position of Maintenance Worker II. This individual performs all tasks assigned pertaining to facility maintenance, janitorial services, grounds keeping, and general maintenance operations. Work encompasses a wide range of duties including electrical, plumbing, heating, carpentry and repairs to agency property and equipment, snow removal, landscaping, parking lot and driveway maintenance, grounds-keeping duties,janitorial services and special projects.

Position: SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT LIVING PROVIDER (SILP)

Description: The SILP teaches daily living skills in the consumers’ homes in the community. This individual acts as an appropriate role model; providing emotional support as needed; acting as a consumer advocate with medical, dental, and legal professionals, and any other service providers necessary; encourages participation in community life and teaches appropriate community and social behaviors and expectations. Position: NURSE PRACTITIONER

Description: The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides services in an all outpatient setting to a predominantly adult population, with coverage including all ages of the lifespan. Position can include some consultation to community medical center during working hours and group rotation for on-call after regular business hours (phone-call-only one week out of five). Qualifications include MA level APRN, ARNP or RN-CS with psychiatric experience and/or specialty. DEA and VT License required.

The clinician provides a wide variety of clinical services to for adults with mental health needs and/or substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, including clinical case management, consultation and education services to area schools, agencies, and the community at large. Position: COMMUNITY SKILLS WORKER

Description: UCS is seeking a Community Skills Worker to support children with mental health needs. Responsibilities include performing a variety of activities related to the building of skills for developing social inclusion within the community. The Community Support Worker works closely with the clinician and other treatment team members to establish and track individualized goals for each child. These goals are accomplished either one on one, and/or by group facilitation through the development and participation of meaningful community based activities. Position: STAFF NURSE

Description:UCS has a current opening for a part time Staff Nurse in our 6-bed psychiatric crisis residential home/facility. This facility underscores our commitment to individuals and families seeking support and treatment with debilitating psychiatric concerns.
As a key member of the treatment team, the primary role of the staff nurse is to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the agency. Responsibilities include:
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Provide medication evaluations and medication management to clients.
• Participate in medical education to clients.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Maintains and updates medication administration records and clinical documentations.
• Assists with daily living for the facility including menu planning and food preparation.

Responsibilities include implementing plans of care, and participating in the day-to day activities of the residents. Position: IN-HOME SUPPORT STAFF

Description: Developmental Services is seeking an individual to provide In-Home Support to one consumer with intellectual disabilities. Services provided will enhance the quality of life through companionship and varied activities. This position consists of meeting the consumer at Community Supports (Atwood) and taking the consumer to their place of residence; monitoring the consumer’s location during entire shift; observing consumer and family dynamics and reporting weekly to Case Management.
Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent & valid, clean driver’s license with reliable transportation. Relevant experience a plus.
Position: SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Description: The Substitute Teacher works with the Head Start Teacher and/or Teacher Assistant, providing classroom instruction and activities by following instructional and activity plans and materials including educational routines. Description:Seeking a Reach Up Clinical Case Manager who will provide therapeutic and referral services, including case consultation and assessments. This position is part of a collaborative state-wide plan between local designated agencies and the Agency of Human Services. Specifically the Reach Up Program helps families with children by providing cash assistance for basic needs and services that support work and self-sufficiency. This position will be a member of the Reach Up Team and work to provide screening, clinical counseling, and service coordination for individuals whose mental illness and /or addictions present barriers to self-sufficiency and employment.
