EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Position: SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT LIVING PROVIDER (SILP)
Availability: Part Time, 15 hrs., 2nd shift including Saturdays and some holidays

Description: The SILP teaches daily living skills in the consumers’ homes in the community. This individual acts as an appropriate role model; providing emotional support as needed; acting as a consumer advocate with medical, dental, and legal professionals, and any other service providers necessary; encourages participation in community life and teaches appropriate community and social behaviors and expectations. Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent. Relevant college courses preferred. Valid clean driver’s license with reliable transportation required.

Position: NURSE PRACTITIONER
Availability: Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible

Description: The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides services in an all outpatient setting to a predominantly adult population, with coverage including all ages of the lifespan. Position can include some consultation to community medical center during working hours and group rotation for on-call after regular business hours (phone-call-only one week out of five). Qualifications include MA level APRN, ARNP or RN-CS with psychiatric experience and/or specialty. DEA and VT License required.

Position: OUTPATIENT CLINICIAN
Availability: Full Time, 37.5 hrs., benefits eligible

Description:UCS is seeking a licensed or license eligible Outpatient Clinician to join our team. The clinician provides a wide variety of clinical services to for adults with mental health needs and/or substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, including clinical case management, consultation and education services to area schools, agencies, and the community at large. Qualifications: Master’s Degree in field of mental health (psychology, counseling, social work, nursing, or related field); Licensed or license eligible in the state of Vermont (LADC, LICSW, LCMHC, MLADC); experience in counseling/treatment of substance abuse/addictions preferred.

Position: COMMUNITY SKILLS WORKER
Availability: Part Time/As Needed

Description: UCS is seeking a Community Skills Worker to support children with mental health needs. Responsibilities include performing a variety of activities related to the building of skills for developing social inclusion within the community. The Community Support Worker works closely with the clinician and other treatment team members to establish and track individualized goals for each child. These goals are accomplished either one on one, and/or by group facilitation through the development and participation of meaningful community based activities. Proficient computer skills are necessary for progress tracking and documentation. Valid driver’s license and personal transportation required. High School diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience in human services field preferred.

Position: STAFF NURSE
Availability: Part Time, 12 hrs. per week (variable schedule including possible weekends and/or overnights)

Description:UCS has a current opening for a part time Staff Nurse in our 6-bed psychiatric crisis residential home/facility. This facility underscores our commitment to individuals and families seeking support and treatment with debilitating psychiatric concerns.
As a key member of the treatment team, the primary role of the staff nurse is to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the agency. Responsibilities include:
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Provide medication evaluations and medication management to clients.
• Participate in medical education to clients.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Maintains and updates medication administration records and clinical documentations.
• Assists with daily living for the facility including menu planning and food preparation.
Qualifications include LPN or RN (preferred) degree with a minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience. Valid VT licensure as an LPN or RN and valid drivers’ license.

Position: FAMILY OUTREACH CLINICIAN
Availability: Full Time, 37.5 hrs., benefits eligible

Description: UCS seeks a Master’s Level Clinician to be based in our Bennington office. The Family Outreach Clinician will provide community based mental health services to children of all ages and their families. The scope of the clinical work includes assessments, consultation, clinical interventions, counseling, groups, and other related services. Case management, which includes service coordination, is also provided. MA’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required. Licensure or on track for licensure in Vermont as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional preferred. Valid drivers’ license required.

Position: RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT PROVIDER, various positions available
Availability: One (1), Full time/40 hours, 1st shift; Three (3), Full time/40 hours, 2nd shift; One (1), Part Time/24 hours, 2nd shift, One (1), Part Time/26 hours, 1st shift. Each position includes every other weekend and some holidays.
Description: The Residential Support Provider provides direct service to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a group home. Responsibilities include implementing plans of care, and participating in the day-to day activities of the residents. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; valid, clean driver’s license with reliable transportation are required. Experience a plus.

Position: MAINTENANCE WORKER II
Availability: Full Time, 40 hours, M-F,7:00 am – 3:30 pm benefit eligible.
The Maintenance Worker II will perform various tasks associated with the routine maintenance of 17 facilities, this will include; grounds work, snow plowing and shoveling, parking lot maintenance, interior and exterior building repairs, painting, light electrical and plumbing as well as on call responsibilities.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license required.

Position: SCHOOL CLINICIAN
Availability: Full Time, 37.5 hours, M-F, benefit eligible. This position follows the school calendar – 46 weeks.

Description: UCS is seeking a Master’s level clinicians. The clinician will be based at Molly Stark Elementary School. Our school-based clinicians will work closely with the special education departments as well as other school staff and teachers. Both clinicians will provide school-based mental health services to students and their families, including but not limited to assessments, consultation, clinical interventions, counseling, and other related services. Experience working with the elementary population and with teams of other professionals preferred. Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Licensure or on track for licensure in Vermont as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional required. Valid driver’s license required.

Position: DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY REHABILITATION & EMERGENCY SERVICES
Availability: Full Time, 37.5 hours, M-F, benefit eligible

Description: Reporting to the Executive Director, this senior leader position is responsible for developing and directing a team of clinical and other support staff to ensure excellence in clinical care to persons with persistent or acute mental illness and their families. The successful candidate will provide dynamic and strategic leadership to multiple programs within their division that includes community rehabilitation and treatment, emergency services, crisis stabilization, and residential care. Comprehensive and diverse responsibilities includes interface with state leaders and community providers, budgetary oversight, staff selection and development, clinical advisement, program review and performance management.
Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in a relevant mental health field. A minimum of ten years’ experience working with the acute or persistently mentally ill and of which at least five years need be in a supervisory or managerial position. In addition, hands on experience in Quality Assurance and/or Risk Management techniques and program certification processes. Candidate must agree to maintain all clinical licenses or certifications as deemed appropriate and necessary, and remain active in sustaining or upgrading their clinical skills. Valid driver’s license required.

Position: EARLY HEAD START HEALTH CASE MANAGER
Availability: Full Time, 40 hours, benefit eligible

Description: Are you interested in doing on-the-ground public health with young children and their families? UCS is seeking an Early Head Start Health Case Manager to support the children and families in our program in facilitating and monitoring early childhood health, nutrition, and safety.
Qualifications include: LPN or Associate Degree required. New BSN graduates with related non-nursing experience are encouraged to apply. Preferred: RN or Bachelor’s Degree in health field; advanced training and/or continuing education in child health, public health, nutrition, health education; experience in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating programs or projects with children and families; Spanish proficiency. Ability to work occasional nontraditional work hours, as required to meet program needs, including occasional evenings and weekends. Valid driver’s License, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance required.

Position: EARLY HEAD START ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE TEACHER
Availability: Full Time, 40 hours, benefit eligible

Description: Under the general direction of the teacher, the assistant/associate teacher will be responsible for assisting with the general supervision of a group of infants and toddlers aged six weeks to three years and the delivery of comprehensive Early Head Start services.
Qualifications include High School diploma or equivalent, Child Development Associate credential and have training in or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development. Associates or above preferred. Valid driver’s license required.

Position: EARLY HEAD START FLOATER
Availability: Full Time, 30 hours, benefit eligible

Description: Under the direction of the teacher and/or center manager, the floater helps to create and maintain an atmosphere in the classroom in which children feel welcome, valued, comfortable and secure. The floater will help the program day-to-day operations run smoothly by providing classroom teachers with breaks, coverage for meetings, assist with beginning and end of the day cleaning, provide child care for evening events, substituting in the classroom, and help with preparation for the next day.
Qualifications include High School diploma or equivalent, Child Development Associate credential and have training in or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development. Associates or above preferred. Valid driver’s license required.

Position: IN-HOME SUPPORT STAFF
Availability: One (1) Temporary Part Time, 9 hrs.; Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 4 pm – 7 pm (projected to last until April 2018)

Description: Developmental Services is seeking an individual to provide In-Home Support to one consumer with intellectual disabilities. Services provided will enhance the quality of life through companionship and varied activities. This position consists of meeting the consumer at Community Supports (Atwood) and taking the consumer to their place of residence; monitoring the consumer’s location during entire shift; observing consumer and family dynamics and reporting weekly to Case Management.
Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent & valid, clean driver’s license with reliable transportation. Relevant experience a plus.

Position: SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
Availability: On-Call, as needed

Description: The Substitute Teacher works with the Head Start Teacher and/or Teacher Assistant, providing classroom instruction and activities by following instructional and activity plans and materials including educational routines. Substitutes maintain educational supplies, monitor equipment and cooperate with the Teacher/Teacher Assistant to maintain an orderly classroom environment. Must be available for immediate “on-call” requests.
High School diploma or equivalent required. CDA, AA or above in Early Childhood Education and experience with pre-school children preferred.Valid driver’s license required.

Position: BUS MONITOR/FLOATER, HEAD START

Description:The Bus Monitor/Floater provides supervision and safety to children while on the bus and in the classroom. Under the direction of the Bus Driver or Teacher and the Education/Disabilities Manager, the Bus Monitor/Floater helps to create and maintain an atmosphere in which children feel welcome, valued, comfortable and secure. The Bus Monitor/Floater will help the program day-to-day operations run smoothly.
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Per OHS requirement, must hold a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education (AA), or be enrolled in a program leading to a CDA or AA within 2 years of employment start date.

Position: REACH UP CLINICIAN
Availability: Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible

Description:Seeking a Reach Up Clinician who will provide therapeutic and referral services, including case consultation and assessments. This position is part of a collaborative state-wide plan between local designated agencies and the Agency of Human Services. Specifically the Reach Up Program helps families with children by providing cash assistance for basic needs and services that support work and self-sufficiency. This position will be a member of the Reach Up Team and work to provide screening, clinical counseling, and service coordination for individuals whose mental illness and /or addictions present barriers to self-sufficiency and employment. MA, MS or MSW in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Community Mental Health or other related field. Must hold, or be eligible for, clinical licensure in VT.
