Position: FAMILY OUTREACH CLINICIAN
Availability: Full Time, 37.5 hrs., benefits eligible

Description: UCS seeks a Master’s Level Clinician to be based in our Manchester office. The Family Outreach Clinician will provide community based mental health services to children of all ages and their families. The scope of the clinical work includes assessments, consultation, clinical interventions, counseling, groups, and other related services. Case management, which includes service coordination, is also provided. MA’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required. Licensure or on track for licensure in Vermont as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional preferred. Valid drivers’ license required.

Position: BUS DRIVER/CLASSROOM ASSISTANT
Availability: Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible

Description:The Bus Driver provides bus transportation for enrolled children in a safe and timely manner to and from the North Bennington Campus. This individual will act as a liaison between the program and parents by communicating effectively, as well as retrieving and disseminating documentation that goes back and forth between school and the parents. Inside the classroom, working as Classroom Assistant, this individual under the direction of the Head Teacher and/or the Child Care Coordinator or Education Manager, helps to create and maintain an atmosphere in the classroom in which children feel welcome, valued, comfortable and secure. In addition, the Classroom Assistant assists the teacher to involve parents in educational activities and participates in classroom activities.
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Per OHS requirement, must hold a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education (AA), or be enrolled in a program leading to a CDA or AA within 2 years of employment start date. Valid Commercial Driver’s License Required.

Position: BUS MONITOR/CLASSROOM FLOATER/LEAD CHILD CARE PROVIDER
Availability: Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible

Description:The Bus Monitor/Floater provides supervision and safety to children while on the bus and in the classroom. Under the direction of the Bus Driver or Teacher and the Education/Disabilities Manager, the Bus Monitor/Floater helps to create and maintain an atmosphere in which children feel welcome, valued, comfortable and secure. The Bus Monitor/Floater will help the program day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Position: SUBSTANCE ABUSE CLINICIAN
Availability: Full Time, 37.5 hrs., benefits eligible

Description: UCS is seeking a full-time licensed outpatient clinician to provide a wide variety of substance use and mental health services for adults participating in our intensive medication assisted treatment program. The clinician will collaborate and work closely with physicians, allied health care providers and other program professionals. Minimum job requirements: Duties will include monitoring clients’ adherence to treatment, coordinating access to recovery supports, provide group psychotherapy, individual counseling, general case, complete intakes, develop treatment plans and deliver general case management. Qualifications: Licensed or Licensed eligible in the state of Vermont (LADC, LICSW, LCMHC, MLADC); experience in substance abuse counseling treatment preferred.

Position: FRONT DESK MANAGER
Availability: Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible

Description:The Front Desk Manager is responsible for managing staff and processes for a busy front desk reception area. This manager ensures that front desk staff provides high level customer service to clients both internal and external. This includes managing the administrative function for a staff of outpatient clinicians and interacting closely with other administrative support teams. The front desk manager acts as a backup for the receptionist position and is responsible for covering the phones and client check in when necessary. This position also serves on various agency committees and does transcription for outpatient staff as needed.
Required skills include prior management experience preferably in the customer service arena, excellent communication skills, flexibility and willingness to work with a range of people in providing excellent service, strong multi-tasking skills, experience in dealing with situational challenges. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Position: DIRECTOR, YOUTH & FAMILY SERVICES
Availability: Full Time, 37.5 hrs., benefits eligible

Description:The Director of Youth and Family Services will provide overall leadership, administration and management of the division including program development and program implementation for children and youth who are experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties and their families.
This is a senior leadership position which reports directly to the Executive Director. This position is responsible for developing, managing, coordinating and supervising a system of community based services and supports that include school based services, case management, crisis programs, family outreach and employment services. The Director ensures service quality and maintains an environment that supports the growth and well-being of the individuals served. The Director will develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other state and community organizations.
Required skills include solid clinical, supervisory, regulatory and budgeting experience and the ability to coach and develop staff. A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field. Ten years progressively responsible experience in a mental health field including at least five years administrative or supervisory experience. Must have or acquire licensure in Vermont as a fully licensed professional: Social Work, Psychologist or Mental Health Professional preferred.

Position: INTAKE COORDINATOR
Availability: Full Time, 37.5 hrs., M – F, benefits eligible

Description:Under the direction of the Community Services Manager, the Youth & Family Services Intake Coordinator provides children’s services for the division and case management to children/families receiving services. The Intake Coordinator ensures that the services provided meet the needs of the consumers and families; and ensures that services are delivered with dignity and respect and meet regulatory requirements.
Masters’ Degree required (or currently pursuing) and relevant experience working with schools and families. Valid Driver’s License required.

Position: REACH UP CLINICIAN
Availability: Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible

Description:Seeking a Reach Up Clinician who will provide therapeutic and referral services, including case consultation and assessments. This position is part of a collaborative state-wide plan between local designated agencies and the Agency of Human Services. Specifically the Reach Up Program helps families with children by providing cash assistance for basic needs and services that support work and self-sufficiency. This position will be a member of the Reach Up Team and work to provide screening, clinical counseling, and service coordination for individuals whose mental illness and /or addictions present barriers to self-sufficiency and employment. MA, MS or MSW in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Community Mental Health or other related field. Must hold, or be eligible for, clinical licensure in VT.

Position: CRISIS RECOVERY SPECIALIST
Availability: Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible. Flexibility required to cover a variety of schedules and shifts. Must be able to work weekends and second shift hours occasionally.

Description:The Crisis Recovery Specialist provides case management, skill development, assistance in obtaining income support and entitlements, coordination and collaboration with peer support services, participation in the day-to-day program activities and coordinating with post-acute crisis recovery services in the home environment as well as accompanying the Crisis Worker in community settings. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or other related field. Experience working with individuals receiving mental health services required. Valid driver’s license also required.

Position: COMMUNITY BASED CLINICAL MANAGER

Description: UCS is seeking an engaging, creative leader to provide oversight, guidance, program development and clinical supervision for our Youth and Family Services clinical and case management services. Working closely with the Division Director, the community based Clinical Manager will play a significant role in long-term planning, strategic planning and operational excellence. Specific responsibilities include:
• Provide clinical supervision for clinicians and case managers within program.
• Provide some direct clinical services such as group co-facilitation or assessments for children and families with mental health and/or substance abuse problems.
• Provide program development and increase community awareness.
• Act as a liaison with statewide and community agencies.
• Provide consultation and education services to the community at large, social service agencies and schools.
Qualifications include: a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related counseling field. 3 -5 years of experience working with children and families. Solid clinical and supervisory experience and the ability to manage and develop staff to work collaboratively. Vermont LCMHC, LICSW, Psychologist preferred or eligibility for licensure in VT. Securing VT licensure within a specified time frame from hire is required. Clinical supervision is included in the benefits of this position. Valid drivers’ license required.

Position: EMERGENCY/CRISIS RECOVERY CLINICIAN (2 K SIGNING BONUS)
Availability: Full time (40 hours), benefit eligible.

Description: In support of our mental health mobile crisis response team, an initiative designed to provide timely and flexible response to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse crisis to decrease emergency room visits, hospital stays, and law enforcement involvement. The emergency outreach program currently has a need for two, full time Emergency Clinicians. The mobile crisis program is a 24 hour 7 days a week program serving the needs of Bennington County. Responsibilities includes crisis screening and assessment, short-term crisis follow-up counseling, referral and coordination of aftercare services, and serves as liaison with police, courts and other community stake holders. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with physicians, patients, families and others. MA in Psychology, Social Work or other related counseling field. Experience preferred. Licensure or on-track for licensure. Schedule flexibility, including nights and weekends required. Valid driver’s license.
$2,000.00 Sign-On Bonus:
50% at signing (first pay check), $1,000.00

Position: OUTPATIENT CLINICIAN (FEE FOR SERVICE)
Availability: Part Time, up to 25 hours per week available.

Description: Seeking Fee for Service Outpatient Clinicians to provide a variety of services in substance abuse and mental health, including counseling, clinical case management services, consultation and education services to area schools, agencies, and the community at large. Prerequisites: : MA, MS or MSW in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Community Mental Health, Psychiatric Nursing or other related field. Must be licensed in a mental health discipline – LICSW, LCMHC, Licensed Psychologist. Valid driver’s license.

Position: COMMUNITY SKILLS WORKER
Availability: Part Time, as needed.

Description: Community Skills Workers are needed throughout Bennington County (including Manchester area) to support children with mental health needs. Responsibilities include performing a variety of activities related to the building of skills for developing social inclusion within the community. The Community Support Worker works closely with the clinician and other treatment team members to establish and track individualized goals for each child. These goals are accomplished either one on one, and/or by group facilitation through the development and participation of meaningful community based activities. Some computer skills are necessary for progress tracking and documentation. Valid driver’s license and personal transportation required. High School diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience in human services field preferred.

Position: PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER

Description:Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner vacancy at United Counseling Service, in our progressive community mental health center located in Bennington, Vermont. UCS is a comprehensive behavioral and developmental system of care including education, prevention, early intervention, support and treatment of children, adults and families in our community. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides services in an all outpatient setting to a predominantly adult population, with some adolescent treatment. Regular hours, Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm, with an attractive salary and extensive benefits package. No inpatient services or after hour calls. Qualifications include MA level APRN, ARNP or RN-CS with psychiatric experience and/or specialty. DEA and VT License required.

Position: RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT PROVIDER, various positions available
Availability: One (1) Full time/40 hours, 1st shift, benefits eligible; One (1), Part time/24 hours, 1st shift; One (1), Part time/26 hours, 1st shift; One (1) Part time/16 hour, 2nd shift; One (1) Part time/16 hours, 3rd shift (Night Asleep). Each position includes every other weekend and some holidays.
Description: The Residential Support Provider provides direct service to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a group home. Responsibilities include implementing plans of care, and participating in the day-to day activities of the residents. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; valid, clean driver’s license with reliable transportation are required. Experience a plus.

Description:Our Community Rehabilitation and Treatment program is seeking an experienced Master’s level Clinician to provide a wide variety of clinical services to individuals with co-occurring severe mental illness and substance use disorders. Key responsibilities include clinical case management, support, rehabilitative skill building, therapy and advocacy. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Licensure or on track for licensure in Vermont as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional required. We will support a Master’s level candidate to licensure.
