EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Position: DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY REHABILITATION & EMERGENCY SERVICES
Availability: Full Time, 37.5 hours, M-F, benefit eligible

Description: The successful candidate will provide leadership and supervision to the various programs within the division. These programs, which focus on supporting persons diagnosed with persistent or acute mental illness and their families, include Community Rehabilitation and treatment, Emergency Services and Crisis Stabilization. The Director will provide a wide range of assistance and direction to these programs including staff selection and development, clinical advice and review and program goal and objective setting. The Director will also be responsible for ensuring the success of the programs with regard to outcomes and financial viability.
Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in a relevant mental health field. A minimum of ten years’ experience working with the acute or persistently mentally ill and of which at least five years need be in a supervisory or managerial position. In addition, some hands on experience in Quality Assurance and Risk Management techniques and processes and program certification systems. Candidate must agree to maintain all clinical licenses or certifications as deemed appropriate and be active in maintaining or upgrading their clinical and administrative skills. Valid driver’s license required.

Position: EARLY HEAD START TEACHER
Availability: Four (4) Full Time, 40 hours, benefit eligible

Description: The Early Head Start Teacher will be responsible for the general supervision of a group of 8 infants and toddlers aged six weeks to three years and the delivery of comprehensive Early Head Start services.
Qualifications include Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or degree in a field related to childhood education. Must have training or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development. Licensed teacher preferred. Valid driver’s license required.

Position: EARLY HEAD START ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE TEACHER
Availability: Four (4) Full Time, 40 hours, benefit eligible

Description: Under the direction of the teacher and/or center manager, the floater helps to create and maintain an atmosphere in the classroom in which children feel welcome, valued, comfortable and secure. The floater will help the program day-to-day operations run smoothly by providing classroom teachers with breaks, coverage for meetings, assist with beginning and end of the day cleaning, provide child care for evening events, substituting in the classroom, and help with preparation for the next day.
Qualifications include High School diploma or equivalent, Child Development Associate credential and have training in or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development. Associates or above preferred. Valid driver’s license required.

Position: FLOATER, HEAD START
Availability: One (1) Part Time, 30 hours, benefit eligible

Description: Under the direction of the teacher and/or center manager, the floater helps to create and maintain an atmosphere in the classroom in which children feel welcome, valued, comfortable and secure. Position: IN-HOME SUPPORT STAFF
Availability: One (1) Temporary Part Time, 9 hrs.; Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 4 pm – 7 pm (projected to last until April 2018)

Description: Developmental Services is seeking an individual to provide In-Home Support to one consumer with intellectual disabilities. Services provided will enhance the quality of life through companionship and varied activities. This position consists of meeting the consumer at Community Supports (Atwood) and taking the consumer to their place of residence; monitoring the consumer’s location during entire shift; observing consumer and family dynamics and reporting weekly to Case Management.
Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent & valid, clean driver’s license with reliable transportation. Relevant experience a plus.

Position: SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
Availability: On-Call, as needed

Description: The Substitute Teacher works with the Head Start Teacher and/or Teacher Assistant, providing classroom instruction and activities by following instructional and activity plans and materials including educational routines. Substitutes maintain educational supplies, monitor equipment and cooperate with the Teacher/Teacher Assistant to maintain an orderly classroom environment. Must be available for immediate “on-call” requests.
High School diploma or equivalent required. CDA, AA or above in Early Childhood Education and experience with pre-school children preferred.Valid driver’s license required.

Position: THERAPEUTIC CASE MANAGER
Availability: One (1), Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible

Description: The Therapeutic Case Manager coordinates a wide variety of therapeutic, educational, basic supports and integrative services to children and adolescents with severe emotional/psychiatric disturbance to ensure they receive the services and assistance required for opportunities to grow toward optimally independent functioning in all areas of their lives. This individual needs to be a team player, organized and detail oriented. Must be able to transport children in your own vehicle.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field required or substantial related work; skills in advocacy, outreach, assessment, crisis intervention and supportive counseling; and strong communication skills.
Must be able to pass background check and hold a valid driver’s license.

Position: RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR
Availability: Two (2), Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible and Two (2), Part Time, 16-20 hrs.

Description: Are you looking for experience in mental health, counseling, or other caring profession? We are seeking one full time & two, part time Residential Counselors to provide support to clients in a recovery-driven group home. Working directly with clients, our staff provide close support and monitoring including skill building, social support and community support.
Full time position is primarily 1st shift however flexibility required in order to cover a variety of schedules and shifts including evenings, weekends and overnights. Part time positions are primarily 2nd shift evening, overnight & weekend hours.
High School diploma or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of experience preferred. Valid driver’s license required.

Position: TEACHER, HEAD START

Description: Bennington County Head Start is seeking an innovative lead teacher who will be responsible for providing a high quality pre-school education program. Must have knowledge and understanding of child development across all domains, intentional planning, excellent classroom organization and management skills. Position responsibilities include the tracking and assessment of student progress while working with families to create individual goals according to Head Start and NAEYC standards. Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and public school staff and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate should have a positive attitude, be team oriented, self-motivated and energetic.

Position: TEACHER ASSISTANT, HEAD START

Description: Under the direction of the Head Teacher and/or the Child Care Coordinator or Education Manager, the Teacher Assistant helps to create and maintain an atmosphere in the classroom in which children feel welcome, valued, comfortable and secure. In addition, assists teacher to involve parents in educational activities and participates in classroom activities.

Position: FAMILY OUTREACH CLINICIAN
Availability: Full Time, 37.5 hrs., benefits eligible

Description: UCS seeks a Master’s Level Clinician to be based in our Bennington office. The Family Outreach Clinician will provide community based mental health services to children of all ages and their families. The scope of the clinical work includes assessments, consultation, clinical interventions, counseling, groups, and other related services. Case management, which includes service coordination, is also provided. MA’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required. Licensure or on track for licensure in Vermont as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional preferred. Valid drivers’ license required.

Position: BUS MONITOR/FLOATER, HEAD START

Description:The Bus Monitor/Floater provides supervision and safety to children while on the bus and in the classroom. Position: REACH UP CLINICIAN
Availability: Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible

Description:Seeking a Reach Up Clinician who will provide therapeutic and referral services, including case consultation and assessments. This position is part of a collaborative state-wide plan between local designated agencies and the Agency of Human Services. Specifically the Reach Up Program helps families with children by providing cash assistance for basic needs and services that support work and self-sufficiency. This position will be a member of the Reach Up Team and work to provide screening, clinical counseling, and service coordination for individuals whose mental illness and /or addictions present barriers to self-sufficiency and employment. MA, MS or MSW in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Community Mental Health or other related field. Must hold, or be eligible for, clinical licensure in VT.

Position: CRISIS RECOVERY SPECIALIST
Availability: Full Time, 40 hrs., benefits eligible. Flexibility required to cover a variety of schedules and shifts. Must be able to work weekends and second shift hours occasionally.

Description:The Crisis Recovery Specialist provides case management, skill development, assistance in obtaining income support and entitlements, coordination and collaboration with peer support services, participation in the day-to-day program activities and coordinating with post-acute crisis recovery services in the home environment as well as accompanying the Crisis Worker in community settings. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or other related field. Experience working with individuals receiving mental health services required. Valid driver’s license also required.

Position: EMERGENCY/CRISIS RECOVERY CLINICIAN (2 K SIGNING BONUS)
Availability: Full time (40 hours), benefit eligible.

Description: In support of our mental health mobile crisis response team, an initiative designed to provide timely and flexible response to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse crisis to decrease emergency room visits, hospital stays, and law enforcement involvement. The emergency outreach program currently has a need for two, full time Emergency Clinicians. The mobile crisis program is a 24 hour 7 days a week program serving the needs of Bennington County. Responsibilities includes crisis screening and assessment, short-term crisis follow-up counseling, referral and coordination of aftercare services, and serves as liaison with police, courts and other community stake holders. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with physicians, patients, families and others. MA in Psychology, Social Work or other related counseling field. Experience preferred. Licensure or on-track for licensure. Schedule flexibility, including nights and weekends required. Valid driver’s license.
$2,000.00 Sign-On Bonus:
50% at signing (first pay check), $1,000.00
Remaining 50% of bonus at 1-year anniversary, ($1,000)

Position: RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT PROVIDER, various positions available
Availability: One (1), Full time/40 hours, 1st shift, Two (2), Full time/40 hours, 2nd shift, One (1), Part time/24 hours, 1st shift; One (1), Part time/26 hours, 1st shift. Each position includes every other weekend and some holidays.
Description: The Residential Support Provider provides direct service to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a group home. Responsibilities include implementing plans of care, and participating in the day-to day activities of the residents. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; valid, clean driver’s license with reliable transportation are required. Experience a plus.
