The Gathering Place at Camp Ondawa returns for clients of UCS’ Developmental Services division

United Counseling Service reinstated a beloved tradition, The Gathering Place at Camp Ondawa, for clients of its Developmental Services division, during the second week of September. The Gathering Place at Camp Ondawa provides a classic summer camp experience for clients, featuring fishing, outdoor games, music, and spending the night in tents and cabins, at Camp Ondawa in Sunderland, VT.

“After many years, I’m so pleased we were able to have a successful camping experience that was enjoyed by all,” says Bonnie Jamieson, Director of Developmental Services at UCS. “Clients are already talking about next year.”

UCS thanks event sponsor, Bank of Bennington, for making the event possible.

UCS also thanks Ramuntos Pizza of Arlington, VT, for donating dinner on one night of camp, as well as for DJ LTD for donating DJ services every day.

UCS Developmental Services provides programs for individuals across Bennington County, including Community Supports, which helps individuals connect with their communities, as well as Employment Connections, connecting adults with meaningful employment, Family Supports, for families with their adult children living at home, as well as residential programs, including residential group homes, and Shared and Supervised Independent Living programs. UCS provides developmental services for children, including family managed respite and other support services.
