October 23, 2026 Staff Spotlight: Kate Seeger, Office Administrator, Targeted Care Management Latest News, ProudToBeUCS Kate Seeger, Office Administrator for Targeted Care Management (TCM) at United Counseling Service (UCS), enjoys the opportunities she gets every day to help others thrive. “I always knew I wanted to work with the public and help people,” says Kate. “That was always kind of my goal.” Kate manages operations at TCM, home of psychiatric and rehabilitative services at UCS, answering phone calls, finding solutions, and communicating with clients. “I have a lot of interaction with clients, which I love,” says Kate. “One of my favorite parts about working this job is getting to greet the clients and talk to them.” TCM provides services for adults with long-term mental illness through case management, treatment, education, vocational counseling, and support. Kate and the front office team at TCM are the first faces seen by clients coming through the door, and she knows how important it is to make them feel welcome and safe. “I love it when I remember their names and they just seem so excited. I just enjoy a helping people and getting to see them, and see how they change as they go through with the supports.” Kate’s previous work experience was based in human services and education before she started her current role at UCS. She worked as a job coach in UCS’ Developmental Services division, which involved supporting clients as they navigate securing meaningful employment and setting career goals. Kate really enjoyed that work, and after a few years, took an opportunity to become an intensive needs paraprofessional working with children with autism. She loved that role as well and stayed until she decided she needed something year-round. She had the chance to return to UCS, this time as a healthcare receptionist, and took the job. Kate has been with UCS for two years so far and is happy with her role helping to ensure TCM runs smoothly and that clients are welcomed into a calm and friendly atmosphere when they call or enter the building. She says that it is challenging to see when individuals arrive struggling, but are not ready to make the commitment to accessing services. Each client’s journey is their own, but UCS is ready to help when they decide it is time to pursue services and support. Kate finds it rewarding to see clients move forward in a positive direction. “It’s just amazing to see. I absolutely love working here.”
