Lorna Mattern

Lorna was appointed Executive Director of United Counseling Service in 2016 and Chief Executive Officer in 2024. In cooperation with the Board of Directors, Lorna directs agency operations, which include strategic planning and development, financial planning, resource development, and policy development. Prior to becoming the Chief Executive Officer, Lorna held various leadership positions since joining the agency in 1990, including the Director of Youth and Family Services. Lorna has served on many local, regional and statewide boards and partnerships and believes that collaborative relationship both inside and outside of the agency is paramount to its success. She received her master’s degree from Springfield College in rehabilitation and counseling with a certificate of advanced graduate study in psychology.
