October 26, 2023 United Counseling Service re-certified as a Preferred Provider through the Vermont Department of Health’s Division of Substance Use Services Latest News United Counseling Service (UCS) earned re-certification as a Preferred Provider through the Vermont Department of Health Division of Substance Use Services with a 93% compliance score. This certifies UCS to continue providing an array of substance use supports and services, including individual, group and case management services, intensive outpatient services, medication assisted treatment for alcohol and opioid use disorder, outreach, overdose prevention and harm reduction supports, training and consultation, and the eRecovery Connections app, which provides 24/7 recovery support for individuals experiencing substance use challenges. Key areas of the recertification audit included leadership and governance, fiscal management, planning, risk management, accessibility, health and safety quality assurance and improvement rights of persons served, screening and accessing, and crisis management. Maintaining high quality of care includes maintaining high standards of quality improvement and compliance.
