January 21, 2026 Thank you for joining us at ‘UCS Presents: Families in Recovery’ at the MCL Latest News Thank you to all who joined us at ‘UCS Presents: Families in Recovery’, on January 15 at Manchester Community Library. We would also like to thank our panelists—Ken Mayer, Director of Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use Services, Dylan Johnson, Recovery Coach at Turning Point Recovery Center of Bennington, VT, Natalie Philpot, Program Coordinator at The Collaborative, and Stacey Flinn, Nurse Practitioner at SaVida Health. This special event brought a packed room of Bennington County community members together for an informative presentation from UCS Chief Program Officer Ryan Murphy. Murphy focused on the healing effects of positive relationships and specifically, families, on those in recovery. A panel discussion and Q&A with the audience was moderated by UCS Chief Executive Officer Lorna Mattern. Topics included understanding addiction, priniciples of recovery, effects of substance use challenges on whole families, and how families can aid in the recovery process. We look forward to welcoming our community back for more meaningful events like this one in the future. Thank you again to all who joined!
