DESCRIPTION:Join the more than 2.6 million First Aiders who have chosen to be the difference in their community. Learn how to support your friends\, family\, and neighbors. Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify\, understand\, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. You’ll build skills and confidence you need to reach out and provide initial support to those who are struggling. You’ll also learn how to help connect them to appropriate support. With instructors Bob Wiegers and Alex Figueroa. \nFriday\, December 1\, 8:30am to 3:00pm. SUMMARY:Holiday Craft Fair
DESCRIPTION:The annual Holiday Craft Fair hosted by the Developmental Services Connections program returns on December 8\, 2023\, at the First Baptist Church in Bennington\, VT. Clients of UCS’ Developmental Services division will host the event\, and other local crafters\, artists\, and makers in the community are invited to attend as vendors. \nShoppers can stop by the craft fair at 601 Main Street from 9am-3pm to find handcrafted wares of all kinds\, as well as baked goods and raffle items. All proceeds directly benefit the Developmental Services Connections program at UCS\, which supports individuals with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment and build important skills for the workplace. \nLocal vendors are invited to attend and pay a $25 table fee.
