SUMMARY:Superhero 5K
DESCRIPTION:Online registration is now closed. Thank you for another great Superhero 5K! \nBe a Superhero! Join us on for the 6th annual UCS Superhero 5K and Kids’ Dash. Run\, walk or roll on this 3.1 mile course that takes you through beautiful downtown Bennington. Costumes are encouraged and there will be prizes for top finishers and best costumes. \nThe Superhero 5K and Kids’ Dash will take place on Saturday\, November 4\, beginning at 9am. The course begins and ends at the Bennington Community Center at 655 Gage Street. The Kids’ Dash will take place immediately after\, an adorable event you don’t want to miss. \nProceeds from this year’s race with benefit UCS’ Teens4Change group. T4C is a peer-led group that gives young people the opportunity to interact with each other and build community connections while learning important social-emotional and leadership skills. \nRegistration is $35 for adults\, $20 for students\, free for the first 100 UCS clients and for all kids under 12 years old. Packet pickup and in-person registration will be held on Friday\, November 3 from 4-7 pm\, and Saturday\, November 4 from 7-8:15am. Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify\, understand\, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. You’ll build skills and confidence you need to reach out and provide initial support to those who are struggling. You’ll also learn how to help connect them to appropriate support.
