DESCRIPTION:Online registration is now closed. Thank you for another great Superhero 5K! \nBe a Superhero! Join us on for the 6th annual UCS Superhero 5K and Kids’ Dash. Run\, walk or roll on this 3.1 mile course that takes you through beautiful downtown Bennington. Costumes are encouraged and there will be prizes for top finishers and best costumes. \nThe Superhero 5K and Kids’ Dash will take place on Saturday\, November 4\, beginning at 9am. The course begins and ends at the Bennington Community Center at 655 Gage Street. The Kids’ Dash will take place immediately after\, an adorable event you don’t want to miss. \nProceeds from this year’s race with benefit UCS’ Teens4Change group. T4C is a peer-led group that gives young people the opportunity to interact with each other and build community connections while learning important social-emotional and leadership skills. \nRegistration is $35 for adults\, $20 for students\, free for the first 100 UCS clients and for all kids under 12 years old. Packet pickup and in-person registration will be held on Friday\, November 3 from 4-7 pm\, and Saturday\, November 4 from 7-8:15am. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Lake Paran at 6:30 on September 27th as we remember those we’ve lost to suicide. The evening will begin with light refreshments and storytelling then we will light and release floating lanterns on the lake. \nIf you or someone you know are having thoughts of suicide you can reach out to our mobile crisis team at (802)442-5491 and ask for crisis or call/text the national suicide prevention line at 988. \nThis event was made possible by the Gregory S. The race begins and ends at the Berkshire Family YMCA at 655 Gage Street in Bennington. \nThis year’s fun-filled event promotes health and wellness in our community and supports a worthy cause – our Teens4Change (T4C) program. T4C is a peer-led group where youth actively plan and engage in activities to positively impact their community.
