November 18, 2025 Virtual intensive outpatient program offered by United Counseling Service provides accessible treatment for Vermont residents with Medicaid Latest News United Counseling Service (UCS) offers a virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to provide accessible recovery support for adult residents of Vermont with Medicaid. The six-week, fully virtual program provides personalized support and aims to reduce barriers to recovery, such as transportation and childcare. Please contact 802-442-5491 for more information or to sign up. Virtual IOP provides clients with an opportunity to receive an Intensive level of support, while still being able to attend to other key areas in their lives,” says Ryan Murphy, Chief Program Officer at UCS. “By providing an early evening level of programming, this ensures that clients are able to partake in necessary work and life appointments during the day. We are excited to be able to offer this service for anyone in the State of Vermont who qualifies.” UCS provides a variety of mental health and substance use services in Bennington County, including individual and group therapy, case management, community education and consultation, virtual recovery support through CHESS Health, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), equine assisted therapy, psychotherapy groups, targeted care management for adults with long term mental illness, and a residential group home. UCS also provides harm reduction resources and community trainings, including Mental Health First Aid, upon request.
