Teens For Change Present Window for Mental Health Awareness Month

MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARNESS MONTH
Teens for Change Offer Insight with Window Presentation

Bennington – Mental health is essential to overall health and well-being, and May is mental health awareness month.  Jordan Morse and Wayne Shoestock of Teens for Change along with Dan Turcotte of Phoenix Wing Designs, painted a window in recognition of mental health awareness month at 415 Main Street.  Teens for Change utilized the window as an opportunity to focus on the importance of prevention, health promotion, and building resiliency which can help young children, youth, and their families thrive.

One in 5 American children have a diagnosable mental illness during a given year and nearly 5 million American children and adolescents suffer from a serious mental illness.  UCS provides support for families of young children, youth, and young adults with emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges.
