Big Brothers Big Sisters went to Montpelier in January 2010 to celebrate National Mentoring Month. Included in the official delegation are from left to right, BBBS Coordinator Sue Cottrell, United Way Executive Director Wendy Woods, Mike who is a "Little," and Senator Robert Hartwell (Mike's "Big"). They visited all the legislative chambers during their tour of Montpelier after meeting with Governor Douglas.

Governor Jim Douglas personally greeted many of the young people who came to visit him as part of the Mentoring Month celebration. Governor Douglas is an ardent supporter of mentoring. Mike promised to delay washing his hands for a loooong time after shaking Governor Douglas' hand.
