Manchester, Vt. — The Manchester Center Knights of Columbus delivered 25 Thanksgiving baskets to the United Counseling Service office in Manchester on Monday, November 25th. The baskets will be distributed to Northshire families who find themselves in difficult financial situations and are unable to provide an adequate meal for their family.

“I really want to thank the Knights of Columbus on behalf of the many families who will benefit from their generosity this Thanksgiving,” said Peg Gregory, UCS Director of Outpatient & Substance Abuse Services. “The holiday season can be a very stressful time, especially for those in financial duress, and these baskets help to  make for a more enjoyable holiday.

The Manchester Center Knights of Columbus have donated the baskets each Thanksgiving for many years, and say it’s an important part of giving back to the community.

“It feels good to help people in the community and we know this really makes a difference for some of our families in the Nortshire. I think it’s important to remember those who need help especially during the holidays,” said Knights of Columbus member Ed Sossi.
